On August 21st CES Students and Staff recognized DYRK1A Awareness Day! Students learned about DYRK1A and wore orange in support of our friend, Ollie!

CES students in Ms. Withers' class put their collaborative engineering brains to work on a recent science experiment. Students were tasked to stack cups with a string tie to a rubber band. Definitely a fun challenge to engage teamwork in their classroom!

CES would like to thank Transportation Director, Brad Devore and Assistant Director, Hannah Hunt for staging a school bus at CES for our students to learn safety procedures and protocols when riding a SH school bus. We especially appreciate this practice as we approach our first field trips of the school year!

The 1st Papa John's Night of the school year is tonight.

August 21st is DYRK1A awareness day! Our friend Oliver is in Mrs. Garmon’s class. At two years old was #239 to be diagnosed with DYRKIA in the world. Now, he is 8 and we just reached 800! Orange is the official DYRK1A color. On Wednesday August 21st, we will be celebrating Oliver by wearing ORANGE at CES. Facts about DYRKIA can be found in the photos!
