The Mobile Dentist is coming to SCES on October 1. Please see the attached flyer and the attached signup link or contact the school and Nurse Mizell will get with you to make sure your child is signed up. We would like to have all paperwork returned by September 26.
The Scouting sign-up meeting that was scheduled for 6:00 in the SCES Cafeteria tonight has been rescheduled for September 16 at 6pm. Your child should have brought home information. Any questions, please call the SCES office.

Grandparents Day at SCES is next Friday, September 12! We are looking forward to seeing all of the families visit SCES with the students and enjoy breakfast!
The Book Fair is at SCES next week! Students will be able to go several times throughout the week and it will be open Friday for Grandparents Day. You can follow this link, https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/southcentralelementarysch7, to set up an e-wallet for cashless shopping for your child.
Harrison County Hospital is having a patient appreciation day on Saturday, September 6th! Come out for a day of health and fun!
Picture Day at SCES will be September 17, 2025. We will get order forms out closer to that day, but wanted to make sure everyone gets it on their calendars!
Make sure you stop by the PTO Booth tonight when you get to Open House! They have a great "TO-DO LIST" to help make sure you visit everything while you're here!!
Please make sure that you have the following things for your child if they are entering SCES: birth certificate, social security card, immunizations and proof of residency (such as a utility bill, lease agreement or piece of mail with your name and address on it). You can either upload these into Harmony or bring them with you to Open House on August 7 so that we have them for all students.

South Central Elementary will postpone meal pickups from Monday, June 23 to TUESDAY, JUNE 24 due to construction. Pickup time will be from 10:30am-12:30pm at Door #3.
Corydon Intermediate meal pickup will remain on Monday, June 23 from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Meals may only be picked up at one location per week. First come, first served.

For any incoming kindergarteners:
All incoming kindergarten students (2025-2026), are invited to attend a Kindergarten Storytime at SCES on Thursday, May 22nd from 9:00-10:00 am. Students and families will be able to tour the building, meet the kindergarten teachers, and hear a story! We hope to see you there!
Thank you to all of the students and families who came out today for the Spring Concert! We all know it is a busy time, but was definitely great to see all the kids getting on stage! Also, a special thank you to Mr. Joe Law for putting all of the time in for our kids and music program!
SCES is excited to introduce everyone to our new School Resource Officer, Deputy Clay Sailor, and his dog, Ace! Officer Sailor has previously served as STO at Heth Washington. Please stop and say hi if you see them around the school!
