Picture retake day is coming soon. Please see the message below from Inter State, the picture company:
Retake Picture Day is 11/13/2024! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 86914GF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.

Biddy Ball that was scheduled to run tomorrow has been postponed. We will update with new dates early next week.
All afterschool activities, including Biddy Ball, will be cancelled tomorrow, September 27 due to the elearning day.
College Go! Week starts Monday!
Students can wear school colors or their favorite college colors on Monday. There will be College Go! Week activities throughout the week!
Last chance mum pickup for the PTO fundraiser is today at the school until noon. Please make sure you get those mums today!

This is a reminder for that mum pickup is today at the school for the PTO fundraiser. It goes today until noon and last chance pickup will be tomorrow morning g 9 am-noon.
Remember to make sure you have a background check on file to be able to join field trips and other school activities. Background checks are good for 5 years and can be found at https://securevolunteer.com/south-harrison-community-schools--vol/home if you need to complete one. Check with the elementary office if you aren't sure whether yours is good or not.
The mobile dentist is coming to our school on September 30! The School Smiled on-site dental program provided on-site dental care at our school for ALL students that signup to participate. The dental team will set up inside our school and they accept Medicaid, private insurances, offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation. Registration is open online at www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup with over 100 languages to choose from when completing the online form. The flyer is also attached with a QR code to sign up.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for Grandparents Day and supported our kids! We had over 500 people come...I know the parking was a little short, but being able to share SCES with so many special people made for an awesome day!
Brynlee, a 5th grader this year, won the statewide 811 Kid Safe Digging Poster Contest! That's first place of all the students who participated in all of Indiana!! Congratulations Brynlee and thanks Ms. Long for having your students participate.
